I have received my doctor's degree from the Johannes Kepler University (Linz, Austria) for my work on the use of algebraic methods for the dynamic balancing of linkages. During this period, I was a member of the Research Institute for Symbolic Computation (RISC) and a research scientist at the Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

I am now working for CM-Labs. Before joining CM-Labs in June 2011, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the robotic group at Laval University and in the Department of Communication and Cognitive Cybernetics at ATR in Japan..
